Thank you for your interest in commissioning a personal work! On this page you’ll find all the information and form to fill out.
If you have any questions, you can email me, but if you then want to proceed, I will ask you to fill out the form to speed up our collaboration process.
Below are the current styles and techniques available for commissioning. You can request something else in the form, but that will become a custom quote.
What I will draw
Regardless of the specifications below, I reserve the right to decline a commission request without providing a reason.
I am open to most subject matter, but am best suited, and have a preference, for:
Monsters, skeletons, aliens, robots and other creatures.
Gritty and atmospheric settings, like urban fantasy, gothic, horror and dark sci-fi/fantasy.
Flawed and expressive character designs.
Blood, gore, body-horror (with exceptions below).
Character interactions (romantic encouraged), scenes, story moments and symbols to embellish an illustration beyond a static pose.
Subject matter I WON’T draw:
Erotica and explicit NSFW material (artistic nudity and tasteful romanticism are okay)
Racist, bigoted or otherwise hateful or inflammatory content towards any group of people.
Political or religious messages and positions meant to incite.
Excessively realistic depiction of injuries or self harm
Form
Ready to go? Read through the Terms and Conditions below and fill in the form. I’m looking forward to working with you!
What happens next?
After you submit the form, I will be in touch via email in around 7 business days. Add my email to your contacts to avoid issues with deliverability.
You won't pay anything yet.
I will confirm if I'm available. If not, you'll be put on my waitlist, where I will contact you again when I am. If I anticipate you'll need to wait more than a few months, you can optionally sign up to a monthly newsletter where I'll post availability and recently commissioned works.
If I can take on your commission, I may also ask further questions and clarify details.
Once we've agreed on the commission details, I will send you a copy of the final agreement to digitally sign and pay the deposit.
Larger amounts (around $200AUD or above) can be split up into smaller instalments.
The payment platform integration will be either Square or Stripe, which takes a variety of payment methods and currency conversions. I won't have access to any of your personal financial details. (Check Square's accepted cards and Stripe's accepted cards)
There will be a set number of revision check-in opportunities throughout a commission, depending on the level of finish, with a minimum of two.
I tend to check in once a week to once a fortnight.
What kind of check-ins to expect:
A moodboard of stylistic direction (for more custom styles)
Two sketch designs to choose from
Two colour scheme thumbs to choose from
Completed line art
Final check in on colours and refinements
Unlike other artists, I group the whole colouring process together (flats, shading, effects) because I use accurate colour thumbs to guide the direction, which you will already have a chance to provide feedback on if it's relevant to the chosen style and finish.
You'll receive the final artwork through a file transfer platform (like FileMail or Smash) after you've paid the final invoice, or shipped physically if it's a traditional piece.
